Trusted mortgage & protection advice across the UK
First-time buyers

Your first home, without the jargon

From working out what you can borrow to getting the keys, we guide first-time buyers through every step - and explain everything in plain English.

Important: Your home (or property) may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage or any other debts secured on it. Some forms of Buy to Let mortgages are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Buying your first home, step by step

Buying your first home is exciting, but the process can feel like a maze: deposits, agreements in principle, surveys, solicitors, stamp duty. Our job is to make it simple. We'll start by working out exactly what you can afford and which lenders suit your situation, then get you an agreement in principle so you can offer with confidence.

From there we handle the mortgage application, chase the lender and solicitor, and keep you updated at every stage. And because your mortgage is only safe if you can keep paying it, we'll also talk you through protecting your income - with no pressure and no jargon.
